My thoughts on the Marina Abramovic satanism controversy

Marina Abramovic recently shared a video via Microsoft’s YouTube channel. Essentially, this video was a bit of PR fluff about how artists use new technologies within their works. However, it somehow sparked controversies from a corner of the internet that perceived it as part of some time of satanist conspiracy.

Abramovic is one of the biggest names of the modern art world and she certainly is no stranger to controversy. Yet, after the video was taken down, possibly for the first time, she felt the need to say that she was fearing for her life after receiving several death threats via email.

In this clip from this weeks episode of my radio show, THE ART MOVEMENT, I share my thoughts about the situation. If you’d like to listen to the entire episode, CLICK HERE.
